The Role
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the Head of FP&A will lead the delivery of insightful, action-orientated analysis to drive the performance of the business. This is a high profile role working closely with the leadership of both central functions and hotels as well as the Executive team.
• Responsible for month end FP&A processes by producing standard reporting and analysis, delivering additional value by challenging and consolidating hotel commentary into key messaging for the Executive team • Delivery of the monthly Compass balanced scorecard • Delivery of the monthly Group level forecast and quarterly hotel level forecast • Support year end audit going concern and impairment testing review • Own analysis and reporting needs for significant hotel rebrand project • Responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the budget, forecast and business planning processes, covering P&L, balance sheet and cash flow • Work closely with site finance and operations teams to produce budgets and forecasts which reflect the operational reality of the business • Own the rolling forecast and cash flow forecasts • Monthly reporting to the UK Executive team and Clermont Hotel Group owners – telling the story of the period and drawing out areas for focus • Quarterly board reporting – clearly presenting the financial data and KPIs and drawing out key themes • Development of the KPI and reporting packs • Manage a team of three, with direct line management of a Finance Manager, supporting their development • Work with the financial reporting team to support the forward looking elements of external audit (including Going Concern and Impairment review) • Key role in any corporate finance transactions • Lead on investment appraisals and business cases • Support with adhoc analysis and reporting
What we look for
• Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) – minimum 4 years PQE • Highly motivated and organised individual who can effectively coordinate multiple processes • Able to work collaboratively at all levels. This role needs to work closely with our operations teams and the Executive team • Commercially minded – understands the drivers of value and quickly able to spot risks and opportunities • Analytical – able to summarise complex data in a simple and understandable way. Enjoys working with numbers • Has relevant industry experience, leisure and hospitality desirable but not essential • Advanced financial modelling skills, and experience of working with accounting and reporting systems
